Designers and brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec wanted to design a fixture with a focus on where the beam of light could be directed, without any fanfare around the design itself.
The fixture is constructed from a varnished aluminum sheet with a photo-etched optical PC (polycarbonate) shade. The internal reflector is photo-etched ABS. The cable can be adjusted to allow the fixture head and light distribution to be aimed in whatever way you choose.

Roest Pendant Light

Unveiled in 1948 at the Finland House in New York, the A1965 Pendant was an instant success for Paavo Tynell and one of the lighting fixtures considered to define his mid-century peak. Serge Mouille wanted to create a modern lighting fixture that had delicate lines and a stunning visual presence. The Two-Arm Ceiling Lamp is one of Serge's most versatile lamps. Further, each shade has independent rotation to allow for further flexibility.
True to Serge Mouille's original production philosophy, each piece is made entirely by hand in France using the original forms, molds and techniques created by Mouille nearly 70 years ago. The unique brass joint allows the head to swivel and turn to any position and hold steady. Each piece is stamped and numbered. Only 600 pieces are produced each year at the Mouille factory and distributed around the world.

As Britain’s maritime heyday faded, Davey & Co used the skills honed manufacturing deck lights, saloon and navigation lanterns to launch Davey Lighting. Davey’s hand-made fixtures were snapped up by the world of architecture and design, taking pride of place in locations such as the Savoy Hotel.

Reminiscent of a bygone era The Small Ship’s Decklight by Davey brings the old sailing ships back to life. The spun brass or copper shade tops a clear or frosted glass lamp well that is held in place with brass wingnuts which add to the lamps overall character. The pendant lamp comes complete with 6 feet of electrical cable, 5 feet of mounting chain and a ceiling rose with hook.
