This module was designed to provide extension possibilities together with the other Conic modules. It comes with our new connection system that makes it easy to link the modules together. The single seater chair can be used as a solitaire lounge chair as well and thereby offering great opportunities if one wants to reorganise the way the modules are build together. As the other modules the single module comes with all-weather cushions that are designed for true outdoor living. For optimal draining of rain water, simply put the cushion in a vertical position, and the water will drain. The water will also drain when placed normally, yet the drainage and drying will be slower this way. The conic series is developed with great dedication to creating optimal comfort and details. The cushions are the result of many hours of work and a huge number of prototypes each tested by the designers and the Cane-line design Team. If the Conic modules are used in very humid and cold climates of the northern hemisphere, it is recommended to buy our furniture covers or store the cushions indoor in order to ease the cleaning of them for the new season. The cushions can e.g. be cleaned with a water jet (soft jet) and put in vertical position to dry.

Aluminum furniture generally requires a minimum of maintenance

Los Angeles based designer Stephen Kenn has long been inspired by clean and simple design aesthetics and the stories inherent in vintage military fabrics. In 2011 he combined those two loves by creating The Inheritance Collection. The collection was the result of an exploration of how furniture is constructed, and then a desire to distill the process down to the barest bones. Likening the process of furniture construction to the way the human body is constructed, the frame, belts, and cushions became the bones, muscles, and skin of each piece.
Made in Los Angeles, the collection is inspired by the characteristic principles of Soviet Modernism and bold interpretations of Brutalist Architecture through the simplification of form, receptive angular geometries and functional design.

Designed by Harry Bertoia in the 1950s the Bertoia Counter Stool comprises a tubular steel frame and a raised, stylishly curved seat. In its elegant casualness, the Bertoia Counter Stool is not only a quality piece of furniture for the counters or bars, but has also established itself as a stylish design classic for the living area. Parallel to the creation of the counter stool Bertoia also created the classic Knoll Bertoia chair.

Harry Bertoia (March 10, 1915 - November 6, 1978), was an Italian-born American artist, sound art sculptor, and modern furniture designer. At the age of 15, he traveled from Italy to Detroit to visit his older brother, however he chose to stay and enrolled in Cass Technical High School, where he studied art and design and learned the art of handmade jewelrymaking. In 1938 he attended the Art School of the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts, now known as the College for Creative Studies. The following year in 1937 he received a scholarship to study at the Cranbrook Academy of Art where he encountered Walter Gropius and Edmund N. Bacon for the first time.
Opening his own metal workshop in 1939, he taught jewelry design and metal work. Later, as the war effort made metal a rare and very expensive commodity he began to focus his efforts on jewelry making. Later in 1943, he married Brigitta Valentiner, and moved to California to work at the Molded Plywood Division of the Evans Product Company. He worked for them until the war ended in September 1945.
In 1950, he moved to Pennsylvania, to establish a studio, and to work with Hans and Florence Knoll. (Florence was also a Cranbrook Graduate). During this period he designed five wire pieces that became known as the Bertoia Collection for Knoll. Among them the famous "Diamond chair" a fluid, sculptural form made from a molded lattice work of welded steel.
In Bertoia"s own words,"If you look at these chairs, they are mainly made of air, like sculpture. Space passes right through them."
