Ethiopian cotton has a rich, natural texture that will continue to soften and become more absorbent with each machine wash and dry.
Every basket, blanket, table linen, towel, scarf, textile, and piece of home decor they produce is entirely handcrafted by women artisans in Burundi, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Zambia. Each piece uses locally grown natural fibers that are local to each product’s region of origin. Natural fibers are then handspun and handwoven by women artisans using traditional heritage artforms to create a wide array of stunning products from textiles to baskets. Creative Women works with fair trade suppliers throughout their supply chain. Leather featured in their products is sustainably sourced, only AZO-free dyes are used when coloring and finishing products and all of Creative Women’s cotton products are sustainably produced in Ethiopia. Creative Women is a women-owned brand, is Fair Trade verified by Fair Trade Federation, and pays fair wages to all their female artisans while providing safe, healthy working conditions.
