In his dreams he can change who is in control, and take control of the overwhelming stimulation he deals with daily. The artist offsets these hard to reconcile feelings with his protective and positive images of traffic lights, toilets, and the idea that one of his created characters, Luis the Rat, would protect him by sending the plague at places or things that would cause him distress.
