The molded shades are given a warm matte exterior finish in white, brown, black, terra cotta or gray with the interior surface finished in white high gloss glaze for a glittering light effect or gold for a light filled with warmth. The iconic three shade system of the PH series of lighting fixtures was created in 1925/1926 by Poul Henningsen for an exhibition in Paris. Space Copenhagen’s ambition was to design a lamp with a simple industrial feel, but which was still elegant and poetic. The Copenhagen Pendant is an exercise in contrasts. Combining the classic and the modern, the maritime and the industrial. The series started with one pendant in three sizes in 2014 and was extended in 2018 with two table lamps, one wall lamp and one floor lamp.

ETCH WEB is a vast 60cm wide shade with an unusual open structure, designed to cast atmospheric angular shadows when lit. Another experiment in our long running exploration of mathematics and geometry, an irregular pentagon shape is repeated 60 times across the body to create a total sphere. The enormous globe is made from stainless steel with an extreme-polished finish giving a remarkable shine and a jewel-like quality as external light is reflected off the mirrored surface. Formed through a process of digital photo-acid etching, a halogen bulb is suspended within the centre of Etch Web to make it the ultimate shadow play pendant.

Etch Web Brass Pendant

East meets West in Jaime Hayon’s playful tweak of a traditional Asian lantern in contemporary expression. Dating back centuries, paper lanterns have featured in Asia amongst the privileged and the poor, where different colors, shapes and sizes connote different meanings. Here Hayon has dispensed with cultural formalities to create a series of lamps all in white. Hand crafted with rice paper merging various sizes and shapes together. The series is comprised of three different lantern versions and a table lamp in ivory white rice paper with black stained oak accents.
