Both there architects, graduating from the Danish School of Interior Design where they studied under Finn Juhl and subsequently with Arne Jacobsen. The P376 pendant lamp is a perfect example of Kastholm & Fabricius’ subtle architectural slant on design. Swell Single Pendant

Boasting a singular spherical silhouette, the Topan Pendant Lamp was truly ahead of its time. Conceived by Verner Panton, one of Denmark’s most experimental Modernist architects and designers, the Topan was a precursor to the Pop Art Movement. A sculptural gem that not only provides illumination, it also acts as a decorative element either alone or in clusters. Adding a cosy intimacy to any interior.
Originally designed for the Astoria Hotel and Restaurant in Trondheim, Norway, the Topan became an integral design element in Panton’s approach to visually immersive environments, saturated with vivid colors, patterns and provocative furnishings. It was also the predecessor to the FlowerPot lamps that followed, which together with Topan are design siblings.
The Topan shade is spun into shape from a single piece of aluminum using a special set of tools. The spinning is performed by highly skilled craftsmen who have decades of experience producing the Topan pendant.

The Funiculi series was brought to life by Lluis Porqueras in 1979 and has been brought up to date by Marset some 30 years later. With a design focus of purity and simplicity, everything superfluous has been removed till only the pure essence of the lamp remains.

Clips are used to hold the lamp in place and allow the lamp to be adjusted up or down as needed. The shade can be rotated a full 360 degrees putting the light exactly where it is needed. The metal base has a rubber coating on the bottom to protect the floor and give added stability to the lamp.

Serge Mouille wanted to create a practical floor light with delicate lines and a stunning visual presence. True to Serge Mouille's original production philosophy, each piece is made entirely by hand in France using the original forms, molds and techniques created by Mouille nearly 70 years ago. Serge Mouille One Arm Floor Lamp

First designed in 1947, the George Nelson Bubble Lamp Collection has stood the test of time. The simple structural shapes with the innovative use of taut plastic over fine steel wire were born from George Nelson's frustration to buy a Swedish-made silk lamp which produced a soft light. This unique use of shape and material produces a diffused light that is free of glare while offering an abundance of illumination. These pieces are part of the permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and remain icons in modern lighting.
Herman Miller now uses George Nelson's original materials and methods to hand craft each piece.
