The 1960's were a great time for lighting. Innovation was at its peak and the glamour of hotel lobbies and midcentury homes inspired many beautiful, fixtures, including the Taraxacum Pendant Light from Achille Castiglioni.
This light was reworked in the 1980's to feature a mixture of deep incandescent lighting and cool, polished aluminum triangles. The update came for a need to create stunning fixture for more commercial spaces and includes 20 pressed and polished aluminum equilateral triangles fitted with electrical sockets. The sockets are filled with 60 clear 25-watt globe lamps, invoking the bloom of a dandelion. The suspension fixture provides direct and reflected incandescent light with a transparent finish.

It's hard to believe this modern and industrial fixture was developed over 60 years. This iconic Gino Sarfatti design has served as an ultra-modern representation of the traditional mid-century chandelier and is equally at home in a minimalist dining room to an open-concept loft.
Every detail of this state-of-the-art ceiling light is exceptional, from the mirror-polish finish of its main steel structure to the way each bulb is fitted with its own horizontal arm. An electrical marvel as well,  the light's wiring meanders gracefully down the stem. This holds 18, 30 or 50 incandescent bulbs, emitting indirect light. It features a ceiling fitting and includes a suspension cable.

SOLIS is an engaging blend of light and shadows filtering light through its laser-cut streams and radiating patterns resembling the sun's rays. Solis features a soft and lightweight polyester fabric that is held in tension between two polished nickel-chrome steel rings, providing both direct and diffused light to enhance any environment. Solis is especially striking when grouped in multiples. Designed by Carmine Deganello 2009/2010.
