Serge Mouille's insect-like designs from the 1950's were created as a reaction to heavier, clunkier Italian designs of the time. Serge Mouille wanted to create a modern lighting fixture that had delicate lines and a stunning visual presence. The Seven-Arm Spider Ceiling Lamp is one of Serge's most versatile lamps. With arms that reach 26", 26", 34", 34", 39" and 43", and 43" light can be projected to many different parts of the room. Further, each shade has independent rotation to allow for further flexibility.
True to Serge Mouille's original production philosophy, each piece is made entirely by hand in France using the original forms, molds and techniques created by Mouille nearly 70 years ago. The unique brass joint allows the head to swivel and turn to any position and hold steady. Each piece is stamped and numbered. Only 600 pieces are produced each year at the Mouille factory and distributed around the world.

When traveling cities such as Paris, Barcelona and New York, Norm. Architects Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen were fascinated by the street lamps; the characteristic cast iron top - looking a bit like a hat - with a semi transparent glass sphere at the base. Back in the studio Kasper and Jonas detached the street lamp from its original use and transferred the shape and combination of materials in order to design an outstanding, indoor pendant – the Mass Light. The pendant was first launched in marble and glass as the two architects were keen on creating a lamp made from natural stone, which can withstand everyday use. The unusual use of solid marble for a lamp gives an exceptional sense of quality and durability. Later, two other quality materials were added to the range in the form of copper and brass.
The shape of Mass Light is bold, strong and masculine. Yet feminine curves soften the expression. The well-known shape lets you focus on the beauty of the materials, its aesthetic structures and colors. Mass Light can also be bought as a chandelier with a canopy for 9 pendants.

Jefferson Mini Pendant Light

Tom Caldwell says the idea behind the Stanleigh Pendant was taking a familiar hand-forged, bell-shaped frame and making it very light. Using light-weight iron rods, our artisans have created a wonderful example of a handmade product. The individual rods are linked together to create the shape of the black pendant, which is lit with a milk glass interior globe.
